These masterpieces are carved by Paul A. Baliker from Palm Coast, Florida, United States.

Paul Baliker has been sculpting exclusively for 35 years. His sculptures can be seen in numerous public and corporate collections.

His most amazing work, called “A Matter of Time”, is a wood sculpture that is 13 feet in diameter and features a man holding a globe surrounded by more than 40 different animals.
“The piece focuses on man’s position in nature.
I love nature and this is my chance to make an environmental statement, so I went ahead and did it,” he said about his sculpture.

The sculpture “A Matter of Time” reached fourth place in the ArtPrize 2010 , an open competition giving away the world’s largest art prize.

Artist statement:
“A passion for nature has inspired me to create a body of work that is environmental in pith.
I endeavor to capture a moment in wood or bronze that expresses potential for a symbiotic relationship with nature.”

    Hi Paul,
I was in awe when I passed your studio on the way to St. Augustine. I had to get out of my vehicle and get a closer look at your work! I knew people could make things out of driftwood, but you have taken it to a whole new level! I absolutely LOVED A Matter of Time, & there were lots of other great sculptures in your lot outside. Unfortunately your gallery wasn’t open when we went by or I would have come inside. I did see a short clip on PBS about A Matter of Time and I saved it on my DVR so I can at least enjoy the thrill of seeing it again & again! I just wanted to share with you artist to artist, how much I enjoy and appreciate your work! Thanks for sharing it with the world!

Where can I purchase some of Paul Baluker’s carvings? I prefer to get a smaller piece for the wall.
